As we gear up for what we expect to be a turn around year, we are pleased to announce that the officers of the MCED Board of Directors have been unanimously elected to serve for another year. President Monty Harris, Vice President Morris Mills, and Secretary/Treasurer Mike McCormick have agreed to serve another year.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. - Concern over the future of Friction Holdings, LLC’s Crawfordsville manufacturing plant led to a meeting of community leaders on Thursday. Montgomery County Economic Development (MCED) President Monty Harris and Executive Director Bill Henderson met with Crawfordsville Mayor Charlie Coons, State Senator Phil Boots, County Commissioner Phil Bane and County Councilman Dick Chastain, all of whom are members of MCED’s board of directors, to explore community options to help retain jobs at Friction Holdings, LLC.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. - Concern over the future of Friction Holdings, LLC’s Crawfordsville manufacturing plant led to a meeting of community leaders on Thursday. Harris says, “MCED along with state and local officials are committed to keeping this plant in operation. We are willing to work with present management to do whatever we can to keep the 445 jobs here in our community.”
